Virginia House of Delegates Speaker William J. Howell (R-Stafford) issued the following statement Tuesday on the results of Congressional elections in Virginia.
“Congratulations to Barbara Comstock on her resounding victory tonight. Barbara has been a strong member of the House of Delegates and we hate to see her go, but know she will make a great member of Virginia’s already strong Congressional delegation. The people of Virginia’s 10th District are fortunate to have a committed and tireless advocate like Barbara working on their behalf. I also want to congratulate Randy Forbes, Bob Goodlatte, Rob Wittman, Scott Rigell, Morgan Griffith, Robert Hurt and Dave Brat on their victories tonight. Virginians have elected a strong team to represent us in Congress.”
